US-based Wright Runstad will be building an 8,900ft2 brewery and restaurant, the BrewHub, near the epicenter of The Spring District in the Bel-Red Corridor in Bellevue, Washington.

The company will give the brewery and restaurant that will be located near a one-acre open space park area on lease.

The Spring District is an emerging pedestrian-focused walkable urban neighborhood and the BrewHub will be located near 300 residential units.

Close to $2.3bn was invested in establishing the Spring District that will also include 5.3 million square feet of office, residential and retail space, city parks; and diverse local retail.

Wright Runstad president Greg Johnson said: "We’ve seen tremendous demand among craft brewery operators and craft beer drinkers for new alternatives in Bellevue.

"We believe the time is right to introduce a world-class brewery in the heart of what will be a bustling neighborhood alongside local shops, parks, office and residential space."

Situated below two floors of office space, the BrewHub will also feature outdoor seating and a central beer garden. It will also sport 26-foot-high ceilings in the brew hall to house double-height equipment space requirements along with concrete flooring with an integrated drainage system.

Located in Seattle, the brewery and restaurant will benefit from the views of Bellevue, Seattle, Cascade and the Olympic Mountains.

The future direct access to Sound Transit East Link light rail service will connect The Spring District to regional destinations such as downtown Seattle, Bellevue, Microsoft, University of Washington and Sea-Tac Airport.
