Multi-Color Corporation, an Ohio-based company that provides premium labelling solutions for food and beverage, and wines and spirits industries, has reported net revenues of $659.8m during the full year ended 31 March 2013, up 29%, as against net revenues of $510.2m for the comparable period last year.

Net revenues for the four quarter (Q4) ended 31 March 2013 increased 5% to $168m from $160.6m in the prior year quarter.

The increase in net revenues was primarily due to acquisitions and start-ups after the beginning of fiscal 2012.

For the financial year 2013, gross profit increased 29% or $28m, as against 2012 figures.

Gross profit for the fourth quarter increased $3.1m or 10%, compared to the gross profit figures of three months ended 31 March 2012.

Operating income increased $25.1m or 55% for the full year ended 31 March 2013, compared to the prior year figures.

Operating income for the Q4 ended 31 March 2013 increased from $13.7m in Q4 2012 to $21.2m, an increase of $7.5m.

Multi-Color Corporation president and CEO Nigel Vinecombe said revenues at $660m and organic growth at 4% met the company’s targets set for the fiscal year.

"Gross margin trend has been positive in the second half of the fiscal year and SG&A ratio stable, delivering a core EPS breaking through the two dollar mark," Vinecombe added.
