Kobrand has signed a long term marketing and sales agreement with Maison Brillet, a France-based family owned producer of champagne and cognac, to represent its Belle de Brillet Poire Williams brand in the US.

Though the transaction is effective from 1 August 2012, the New York-based importer and marketer of fine wine and spirits Kobrand will activate transitions from 1 October 2012.

Created by the tenth Brillet generation in 1980, the Belle de Brillet Liqueur is a blend of the aromatic Williams pear variety and fruity Brillet cognac that is cork finished and housed in a pear-shaped glass bottle.

The Belle de Brillet liqueur possesses complex flavors with depth of character.

Kobrand spirits director John Pennacchio said by partnering with Maison Brillet, the company will capitalize on the versatility and taste profile of the liqueur to expand its awareness and presence in the country.

The company will use its network of distributor partners and its brand marketing team to represent, transition, expand and strategically direct day to day management of the Belle de Brillet brand in the US.

Kobrand spirits managing director and vice president Tom Congdon said Belle de Brillet has demonstrated strong acceptance during its relatively short importation within the US.

"With greater exposure, distribution and proper sampling it will capture even greater trade and consumer awareness and respect as we go forward," Congdon added.

Belle de Brillet Liqueur joins Kobrand’s spirits division comprising of other brands such as Appleton Rum, Alize Cognac, Antica Sambuca and others.
