Greenall’s Gin, owned by UK-based spirits company Quintessential Brands, has expanded its portfolio with Blood Orange & Fig Gin.

Master Distiller Joanne Moore created the offering at G&J Distillers distillery in Warrington.

Blood Orange & Fig Gin includes Greenall’s Original London Dry Gin infused with natural, blood oranges and featuring a twist of fig.

Quintessential Brands UK Marketing director and Greenall’s brand owner Russell Kirkham said: “Our Greenall’s zero-sugar flavoured gins have proven to be a hit in the UK, especially Greenall’s Wild Berry which was one of the top five performing spirits of 2019.

“With research showing a clear consumer demand for orange flavoured gins, we’re excited to be adding Blood Orange & Fig into the mix – a flavour that we’re confident will be a huge hit this summer!”

With 37.5% alcohol by volume (ABV), Greenall’s Blood Orange & Fig Gin is a limited edition expression, initially available exclusively at Sainsbury’s.

The expression will be available for purchase at £16 per 1l bottle, the company said.

Kirkham added: “Unlike many other flavoured gins on the market, Greenall’s is unique in the fact that all our flavoured gins contain zero-sugar.

“As consumers are becoming increasingly mindful of the sugar they consume, this is something that has contributed to the success of the range and will no doubt ensure that Greenall’s Blood Orange & Fig stands out from competitors when it hits shelves.”

From April, Greenall’s Blood Orange & Fig Gin will be distributed in other channels, supported by a dedicated consumer campaign.

Last April, Quintessential Brands expanded its Greenall’s collection with a blueberry flavoured gin.

Created by G&J Distillers’ Joanne Moore in Cheshire, Greenall’s Blueberry Gin is produced using Original London Dry Gin.
