US-based craft cidery Blake’s Hard Cider (BHC) has announced the availability of its hard cider lineup across Florida.

The latest move expands the company’s national distribution footprint to 19 states in the US.

Blake’s Hard Cider founder Andrew Blake said: “Florida is a natural fit for BHC. Blake’s fans really drove this decision.

“We are a Michigan-based company and many Michiganders spend a lot of time in Florida during the colder months. BHC fans have been asking us to bring our ciders to Florida for a while and we are excited to finally offer our authentic craft ciders in Florida now and grow our BHC consumer base there.”

For full coverage distribution of hard cider in Florida, the US firm signed deal with Cavalier Distributing.

The hard cider will first be available in smaller retail locations, as well as specialty markets around Florida.

Cavalier brand manager Megan Colon said: “Cavalier Distributing is excited to be able to partner with Blake’s to bring an authentic hard cider to Florida.

“We were attracted to Blake’s because of the company’s authenticity and farm values, high-quality product, and the BHC demand we already know is there in Florida.”

Blake’s Hard Cider was established in 2013. It is a family-owned and operated Michigan craft cidery.

Cavalier Distributing was established in 1992 and ‘carries a wide portfolio of craft beverages’. The company’s craft beverages are focused on American craft and specialty import beer, as well as cider, wine, non-alcoholic sodas and water.

Recently, BHC announced the re-launch of its Kinder Cider, Saint Cheri.

In August, Blake’s Hard Cider expanded its fall lineup with the addition of Caramel Apple and Apple Lantern flavours.
