The value marked an increase of 1024.6% over the previous month and a rise of 623.5% when compared with the last 12-month average of $930.11m.

In terms of number of deals, the sector saw a drop of 12.5% over the last 12-month average with 35 deals against the average of 40 deals.

In value terms, Asia-Pacific led the activity with deals worth $6.7bn.
