The value marked an increase of 370.2% over the previous month of $446.64m and a rise of 17.3% when compared with the last 12-month average of $1.79bn.

In terms of number of deals, the sector saw a rise of 16.28% with 50 deals in July 2021 when compared to the last 12-month average of 43 deals.

In value terms, North America led the activity with deals worth $1.26bn in July 2021.
