Crystal Geyser Water Company (CGWC), a manufacturer and distributor of mineral water, has acquired a 145,000ft² bottling facility located on 266 acres in Mount Shasta, California for an undisclosed amount.

Despite the purchase of the new facility, the company said it has no plans to abandon its existing plant in Calistoga.

CGWC CEO Doug MacLean said: "Our new Mt. Shasta facility will greatly increase our ability to meet growing customer demands for our products."

CGWC executive vice president Richard Weklych said that the site was selected for its pristine water source, and the ability to expand production as the company’s distribution and sales volumes rise.

"Our protected spring is fed from Shasta-Trinity National Forest watershed, at the foot of Mt. Shasta, which climbs to 14,179 feet above sea level," Weklych added.

Apart from its bottling facility in Weed, the company operates plants in Olancha Peak, Benton, Moultonborough, Norman, Salem, and Johnstown.
