Sicily-based wine producer Tasca d’Almerita has joined its Tascante project in the Mount Etna region with California’s Dalla Terra Winery Direct’s portfolio of family-owned Italian estates.

Under the agreement signed by both companies, Dalla Terra will serve as the sole US agent for Tascante and will promote its Mount Etna region and Nerello Mascalese wine varieties.

Dalla Terra Winery will use its three-tier distribution system to handle Tascante portfolio and will allow US distributors to buy directly from the producer.

Tasca d’Almerita owner Alberto Tasca said they are happy to work with Dalla Terra and their portfolio of Italian wine producers.

"For eight generations, our family has dedicated its life to understanding and respecting the nature of our land and all that Sicily has to offer. We are continually striving to optimize our results through knowledge, tradition, sustainable agriculture and modern innovation," Tasca added.

"Tascante, our most recent endeavor, is a tribute to the Etna volcano, the Mother Earth of great wines, whose terroir has always been ideally suited to the production of unique wines with unmistakable character."

Dalla Terra Winery Direct owner and founder Brain Larky said Tasca d’Almerita is an important estate in Italy with Mount Etna region under its belt that produces some of the best Italian wines.
