Odell Brewing, a Colorado-based brewer, has signed a deal with Ben E Keith Company for the distribution of beers in Texas.

With the addition of Texas, the brewery will increase its distribution footprint to 11 states in the US.

Ben will begin distributing the Odell’s beers in draft format in March 2014, while in package format in April 2014.

The brewery will roll out brands such as Odell IPA and 90 Shilling; seasonal offerings including St. Lupulin; Four Pack offerings such as Myrcenary; and the limited release Cellar Series.

Odell selected Ben E Keith because of its statewide distribution capabilities, which will allow the brewery to reach majority of craft consumers.

Ben E Keith has 14 sales and distribution centres in Texas including Abilene, Austin, Brownwood, Commerce, Dallas, Denton, El Paso, Ft Worth, Houston, Kerrville, Llano, Palestine, San Antonio and Waco.

The brewery will depend on its new brewhouse and additional fermentation vessels to meet the demand of beers in the state.

Odell Brewing sales and marketing director Eric Smith said there has been a long connection with Colorado and Texas and it is great to finally have their beers available in the Lone Star State, so their neighbours can capture some of the Colorado flavour.

Odell Brewing founder and owner Doug Odell said they are very excited about their upcoming launch into Texas with Ben E Keith.

"Their track record and integrity is second to none, and we look forward to a great partnership," Odell added.
