The House of Marnier-Lapostolle, a North America-based family owned and operated spirit and wine producer that operates as a direct importer in the US, has extended its distribution deal with Moet Hennessy USA, an importer and marketer of wines, spirits and champagnes in the US.

Under the agreement, Moet Hennessy USA will continue to be the sole distributor of Marnier-Lapostolle’s Grand Marnier liqueur brand in the US.

Created by Louis-Alexandre Marnier-Lapstolle in 1880, the Grand Marnier line includes liqueurs like Cordon Rouge – an orange flavoured cognac liqueur made from a blend of Cognac brandy distilled with tropical oranges and sugar.

The liqueur possesses bright topaz colour with gold and amber tints, aromas of orange flowers, candied zests and toffee, and bitter orange flavours enhanced by orange marmalade and hazelnuts.

The 40% ABV liqueur can be consumed neat or can be used in mixed drinks and desserts.

Marnier Lapostolle president Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle said they are happy to continue their partnership with Moet Hennessey USA and launch their three new products – GM Titanium, Louis Alex Bourbon Barrel and their limited release Grand Marnier Raspberry Peach – to the US market in 2013.

Moet Hennessy USA CEO and president Jim Clerkin said the company will continue to keep up the partnership by growing the Grand Marnier brand in the US and by adding new products.
