Bibendum Wine, a UK-based supplier of wines, fine wines and spirits across the UK, has expanded its portfolio with the addition of legendary Rhone producer Paul Jaboulet Aine and Bordeaux third growth Chateau La Lagune, owned and managed by Caroline Frey.

Known for its French wine, Paul Jaboulet Aine was founded by Antoine Jaboulet in 1834, and was sold to Caroline Frey in 2006.

Bibendum will now distribute the Jaboulet’s northern Rhone wines including Crozes Hermitage Blanc Les Jalets 2011, Crozes-Hermitage Domaine Mule Blanche 2011, Condrieu Domaine des Grands Amandiers 2010, Hermitage Le Chevalier de Sterimberg 2008, Crozes-Hermitage Rouge Les Jalets 2009, St Joseph Rouge Le Grand Pompee 2009, Cornas Les Grandes Terrasses 2009, Crozes-Hermitage Rouge Domaine de Thalabert 2007, Hermitage La Petite Chapelle 2007 and Hermitage La Chapelle 2007.

For Chateau La Lagune, Bibendum will distribute the Chateau’s second and third wines – Moulin de la Lagune 2009 and Mademoiselle L 2009, respectively.

These wines will be available to Bibendum’s on trade and independent merchant customers from 24 September 2012.

Bibendum Wine northern hemisphere buying director Stuart Grundy said following on from its recent announcement that they will represent Gaja’s Tuscan estate Ca’Marcanda, she is happy that Paul Jaboulet Aine and Chateau La Lagune have joined its portfolio.

Bibendum will also offer Paul Jaboulet Aine wines at Artisan Tasting event at The Gallery Soho in London.
