Virtual Medical International, a wellness company, has reached an agreement to acquire Gen X Fitness Water, a sports beverage product.

Financial details of the deal remain undisclosed.

Virtual Medical International CEO Larson Elmore said: “Gen X Fitness Water provides pure hydration during physical activity making it popular with bodybuilders and other endurance athletes as part of their pre-workout regimen.

“Equally important, there are no added sugars, carbohydrates, or proteins and therefore no added calories.”

Formulated with L-Carnitine Tartrate, a combination of carnitine and tartaric acid, Gen X Fitness Water is claimed to help athletes maximise their workouts.

According to Gen X Fitness Water, L-carnitine helps in breaking down fatty acids and converts them to energy.

Gen X Fitness Water is free of all doping substances and slightly sweetened using natural stevia syrup and grape flavouring.

Containing 1,000mg of Gen X’s proprietary L-Carnitine Tartrate formulation per 500ml serving, Gen X Fitness Water facilitates absorption, helping to boost energy and endurance.

The deal is reportedly in line with Virtual Medical’s business expansion plan.

The company, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, also established the brand name ‘Amsterdam Café: Welcome to Your Whole Health.’

Elmore added: “Gen X Fitness Water is a great product for Amsterdam Café and our mission to support general health and wellness.

“We believe it will be well received by distributors and customers across our planned network. Going forward we expect to expand the line to include other flavours, as well as a CBD-infused version.”
