Tampico Bottling Company (TBOT) has revealed plans to buy the assets of a manufacturing and bottling plant in the US.

The purchase of the 107,000ft² manufacturing plant located in Palestine, Texas, from Mountain Pure Beverage LCC has been finalised.

Financial details of the deal have not been divulged by the companies.

Established in 1989 in Chicago, Illinois, TBOT is a subsidiary of global producer and distributor of juice drinks Tampico Beverages.

Tampico Beverages is sold in more than 55 countries worldwide and has been in the fruit-flavoured beverage business for more than 30 years.

It has a brand presence in the US and across the globe.

Tampico Beverages CEO Jenny Haas said: “We are excited about the potential that this Texas facility unlocks for Tampico.

“Located in a Texas heartland market, this facility provides ample room to grow our Tampico brand and manufacture other beverage brands, while also allowing the opportunity for further vertical integration.

“This purchase is a strategic step forward in enabling us to service our consumers more effectively with expanded beverage offerings.”

Last month, Tampico Beverages reportedly expanded its offerings portfolio with the launch of the fruit and vegetable juice beverage line called Paired Up.

The line-up was launched by the company in three different flavours. Beet the Day contains beet, strawberry, raspberry and blueberry, Carrot On consists of carrot, pineapple, orange and peach, while Pump It Up contains a blend of pumpkin, mango, coconut and banana.

Tambico Beverages has developed 13 flavours to date, developing from the first flavour launched in 1989 to a leader in the fruit drink industry.
