Stolen Spirits has introduced Stolen X, the newest member of its family of craft spirit, in 100ml cans.

When introduced in May, Stolen X came only in 1L and 750ml bottles.

Based on pre-prohibition spirit Rock & Rye, Stolen X is produced with straight American rye whiskey and blended with organic raw honey and orange peel.

At 80-proof, Stolen X is said to offer a balanced flavour profile with scents of honey and citrus, bringing a smooth finish.

According to Nielsen Homescan Omnibus Survey in January, the consumption of Ready-to-Drink (RTD) products has increased by 40% from the previous year.

Spirits Investment Partners, the company behind Stolen Spirits, expects that this single-serve format can boost sales both on and off-premise.

Spirits Investment Partnership CEO Marc Bushala said: “Most canned beverages are watered-down versions of classic cocktails but Stolen X delivers 2.25oz of a full-strength great-tasting cocktail in a can.

“The new format and premium ingredients will only extend interest and sales in the brand as we continue to disrupt the category.”

The company plans to introduce the cans directly to the customer through five Stolen X Vintage El Caminos.

The vehicles will be decorated in the brand’s black and white colours and outfitted with flatbeds, as well as coolers filled with the cans.

Stolen X is currently distributed in partnership with Breakthru Beverage Group, Young’s Market, RNDC and other wholesalers and will be sold at a price of $2.99 per can.

The cans are available in 25 states including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Washington DC, Florida and Illinois.
