Stolen Spirits has expanded its whisky portfolio with the launch of Stolen X.

Based on pre-prohibition spirit Rock & Rye, Stolen X is produced with straight American rye whiskey and blended with organic raw honey and orange peel.

At 80-proof, Stolen X is claimed to offer a balanced flavour profile with scents of honey and citrus that bring a smooth finish.

“We think that people will love great rye whiskey blended with all natural ingredients that actually tastes good.”

Spirits Investment Partnership CEO Marc Bushala said: “Humans have been drinking horrible shots since the discovery of fermentation. There has not been much evolution from the swill that we hoisted in college to what people are shooting today.

“The main difference with the popular shot brands today is the use of artificial flavours and sweeteners to make bad booze more palatable. We think that people will love great rye whiskey blended with all natural ingredients that actually tastes good.”

Stolen X is currently distributed in partnership with Breakthru Beverage Group and is now available in states such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Washington DC, Florida and Illinois.

The drink is also sold in Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee and Texas. It is available at on-premise and off-premise establishments in 750ml bottles for a suggested retail price (SRP) of $24.99.

In addition, the company is planning to launch a 1l bottle for $29.99 and 100ml cans for $2.99. It aims to expand its footprint to more than 30 states in the US by next year.
