US-based Shamrock Farms has introduced a new chocolate milk beverage called Swirled made using plant-based ingredients and real milk.

The beverage is a blend of cocoa, coconut cream, almonds and milk sourced from Shamrock Farms’ family of local farms. According to the company, it contains less sugar and is free from artificial colours.

Swirled is available in Chocolate Coconut and Chocolate Almond Coconut flavours in 12oz and 32oz sizes.

Shamrock Farms chief marketing officer Ann Ocaña said: “With Shamrock Farms Swirled, we’re putting a new twist on chocolate milk by blending sweet and creamy coconut, the richness of real almonds and fresh milk into one drink.

“Swirled is a delicious, upscale take on the classic beverage and answers an unmet need of many adults who love chocolate milk but are looking for something more decadent yet still healthy.

“With an uncompromising flavour, it’s perfect for those who are plant-curious or plant-based but crave the benefits and taste of real milk.”

Founded in 1922, Shamrock Farms is a family-owned company, which produces and distributes a full line of dairy products.

The company’s product portfolio includes Rockin’ Protein and Shamrock Farms ready-to-drink milk. Its products are available at retail shops and in more than 50,000 quick-service restaurants.

Separately, Shamrock Farms announced that its Rockin’ Protein Builder, a ready to drink beverage, will now be available at Kroger stores across the country. It will be available 12oz bottles in chocolate and strawberry flavours.
