Arizona-based bottled drinking water producer The Alkaline Water Company has expanded its geographical footprint to the Caribbean region with the signing of a distribution partnership with SaluVid, a division of TraFon Group.

SaluVid will market, promote and distribute The Alkaline Water Company’s complete product portfolio across Puerto Rico and other select Caribbean islands.

SaluVid marketing manager Jamileth Troche Rivera said: “SaluVid offers natural alternatives to address your body’s needs and bring about balance. It is a one-stop solution for health and wellness products.

“With The Alkaline Water Company’s products, we will definitely make a difference in our market.”

Established in 2012, The Alkaline Water Company offers its products under the Alkaline88 brand.

Alkaline88 is claimed to be produced using The Alkaline Water Company’s proprietary electrolysis process and delivers 8.8pH balanced alkaline drinking water, with trace minerals and electrolytes.

The Alkaline Water Company president and CEO Ricky Wright said: “TraFon Group has a strong local network in Puerto Rico which includes over 3,000 retail customers and an extensive export distribution network to surrounding islands.

“From a logistics standpoint, this is a particularly attractive arrangement for us as we will deliver all our product domestically to a single distribution centre in Florida and TraFon Group will handle all the exportation.”

In addition to Alkaline88, The Alkaline Water Company’s portfolio also includes A88 Infused flavoured water, which is available in six all-natural flavours.

In March, The Alkaline Water Company signed a distribution agreement with direct store delivery (DSD) Nevada Beverage.

This deal sees The Alkaline Water Company’s Alkaline88 and A88 Infused flavoured water products being distributed across Nevada in the US.
