Canada’s PlantX Life has concluded the acquisition of US-based cold-pressed juice company Little West in an all-stock transaction.

The PlantX wholly-owned subsidiary PlantX Lifestyle USA entered a membership interest purchase agreement for Little West on 29 April 2021.

PlantX Lifestyle agreed to acquire all the issued and outstanding limited liability membership interest of Little West.

Established in 2013, Little West produces small-batch cold-pressed juices using fresh produce from farmer’s markets.

The company claims that all its beverages are free from preservatives, concentrates and added sugars.

At the time of signing the agreement, Little West co-founder Cassandra Troy said: “Our collaboration with PlantX brings a new and exciting opportunity for expansion across the US, into Canada and beyond, growing what started as a tiny community to thrilling new heights.”

Little West’s founders Cassandra Troy, Andrew Walker, Brad Neumann and their California-based team will continue their association with the company and will run and operate the company.

With the completion of the deal, Little West will be leveraging PlantX’s e-commerce platform to promote beverage products and accelerate its expansion across the US and Canada.

Little West expertise in the cold-pressed juice vertical will benefit PlantX and is expected to further support its growth in the North American market.

PlantX founder Sean Dollinger said: “It is truly exciting to finalise our Acquisition and partnership with Little West.

“We’ve already seen a lot of interest in the Little West cold-pressed juices since we announced our intention to acquire this amazing company and we are very much looking forward to working together with the Little West team and capitalise on our mutual strengths to enhance the Company’s growth moving forward.”
