US-based food and beverage company PepsiCo has launched new beverage brand Drinkfinity.

The new beverage consists of a number of wet and dry ingredients packaged in individual reusable, Bisphenol A (BPA) free pods. These pods come with a portable bottle called the Vessel.

Consumers pick and choose from the pods, combining the ingredients in the water-filled 200oz Vessel to create their custom-made beverage blends.

“Drinkfinity was made to do more than just hydrate, it was created with a simple vision to make a beverage that connects the dots between wellness and versatility.”

Drinkfinity global business innovation vice-president Hernan Marina said: “Drinkfinity is a delicious new beverage option that allows today’s busy consumer the unique opportunity to personalise a drink based on their individual preferences and unique lifestyle needs.

“Better yet, Drinkfinity was made to do more than just hydrate, it was created with a simple vision to make a beverage that connects the dots between wellness and versatility while trying to balance the needs of both people and the planet.”

Drinkfinity’s flavoured pod options include Charge with green coffee extract, vitamin C and E infused Flow, and Renew, which contains botanicals to help consumers to relax.

Each pod has flavour options, which include açaí, pomegranate, ginger, elderflower, coconut water, watermelon and chia seeds.

Claimed to be free from artificial sweeteners and flavours, each pod contains 30 to 80 calories per 20oz drink.

PepsiCo’s Drinkfinity range in the US follows a previous release in 2014 in Brazil.

With 12 unique blends, the Drinkfinity Pods are available online in packs of four, priced between $5 and $6.50. The Vessel retails for $20.
