US-based dairy processor Chobani has expanded its product portfolio with the introduction of oat-based drinks, blends and dairy-based creamers.

It is said to be the highest expansion outside the yoghurt line in the company’s history.

Chobani founder and CEO Hamdi Ulukaya said: “Like yoghurt, oats are an ancient food with deep roots in our culture and our land. These grains deserve to be celebrated.

“I always knew our journey from yoghurt to becoming a modern food company would be through nutritious, delicious, batch-made products like Chobani Oats and today they’re helping us further deliver on our founding mission of making better food for more people.”

The company claims that its oat-based drinks are gluten-free and are produced using organic oats and are a good source of Vitamin D, Vitamin A and Calcium.

Chobani oat drinks will be available in plain, vanilla, chocolate and plain extra creamy flavours, while the Chobani Oat Blend cups will be available in four different flavour combinations including vanilla, strawberry vanilla, blueberry pomegranate and peach mandarin.

The product range also includes Chobani coffee creamers, produced using ingredients such as locally sourced, farm-fresh milk and cream.

Chobani Oat Blend with Crunch will be available in three different flavours. Chobani will also launch Greek Yogurt with Oatmeal in the market.

Next month, the company will roll out its Chobani Oat Drink Barista Blend, designed to behave like steamed whole milk in coffee and tea.

In August, Chobani opened its 71,000ft² Innovation & Community Center in Twin Falls, Idaho.
