US beverage industry saw a rise of 10.00% in overall deal activity during August 2021, when compared with the last 12-month average, led by 7-Eleven, Dave Burwick, Dave Peacock, Doss Cunningham, Durable Capital Partners and LivWell Ventures’ $106m venture financing of Kitu Life, according to GlobalData’s deals database.

A total of 22 deals worth $346.4m were announced in August 2021, compared with the 12-month average of 20 deals.

venture financing was the leading category in the month in terms of volume with 17 deals, which accounted for 77.3% of all deals.

In second place was M&A with four deals, followed by private equity with one transactions, respectively accounting for 18.2% and 4.6% of overall deal activity in the US technology industry during the month.

In terms of value of deals, venture financing was the leading deal category in the US beverage industry with total deals worth $286.39m, while M&A and private equity deals totalled $60m and $0m respectively.
