The value marked an increase of 227.1% over the previous month and a rise of 15.4% when compared with the last 12-month average of $1.72bn.

In terms of number of deals, the sector saw a drop of 10% over the last 12-month average with 36 deals against the average of 40 deals.

In value terms, Asia-Pacific led the activity with deals worth $1.76bn.

4) The $13m venture financing of Vive Organic by Cambridge Companies SPG, Monogram Capital Partners and Powerplant Ventures

5) Blue Hill Group’s venture financing of Next Century Spirits for $6m.
