Israeli start-up Wine Water is set to launch new alcohol-free beverage, O.Vine.

Created in collaboration with Practical Innovation, the new beverage combines grape skins and seeds with pure spring water. It is claimed to be an all-natural, non-alcoholic beverage that is free of preservatives and added colours.

The colourants and ingredients for O.Vine are claimed to have been sourced from unused or waste grapes from red and white wine production processes.

The team developed a clean, controlled process to prevent oxidation, while maintaining the beverage’s appealing natural colour and aroma.

“These methods prevent oxidation, the main obstacle to keeping the beverage fresh and shelf stable.”

Wine Water CEO and founder Anat Levi said: “Developing O.Vine was extremely challenging. Based on our winemaking expertise, we designed proprietary technology and specialised techniques.

“These methods prevent oxidation, the main obstacle to keeping the beverage fresh and shelf stable, without alcohol and without preservatives.”

The O.Vine line-up includes two still beverages and two carbonated drinks, which are available in red and white varieties.

Practical Innovation CEO Tal Leizer said: “Our mission was to create a pure water sensation that not only inspires consumers to appreciate wine’s complex flavours and aromas but also leverages sustainable principles by reusing the skins and seeds from the wine grapes remaining from the winemaking process.”

The O.Vine line-up will be launched later this month at the Fancy Food Show in New York, US.
