Waitrose & Partners has expanded its soft drinks category with the launch of mixer range Double Dutch.

These low-calorie soft drinks are made from 100% natural ingredients, including spring water from the North of England.

The Double Dutch mixers range will be available in Cucumber & Watermelon, Pomegranate & Basil and Indian Tonic Water flavours.

Cucumber & Watermelon offers a sweet aroma with a crisp taste profile, while Pomegranate & Basil features a herbaceous scent and a peppery finish. The Indian Tonic Water has a hint of juniper berry and grapefruit.

Waitrose & Partners Drinks buying head Pierpaolo Petrassi said: “We are thrilled to be working with Double Dutch on this range of interesting and innovative tonics.

“We know our customers are becoming more discerning with their spirits, so it only seems right to offer a variety of premium mixers that enhance their individual flavours.”

Double Dutch has been created by Dutch Twins, Raissa and Joyce de Haas, with an objective to combine unusual flavours and produce drinks specifically designed to enhance the taste of higher-quality spirits.

Joyce said: “I am convinced the Waitrose shoppers will love our flavours like Cucumber & Watermelon as they don’t only work amazingly well with any gin, but are equally delicious on their own.

“Double Dutch brings that quality restaurant experience at home and makes it super easy for anyone to make easy-to-make, simple and consistent cocktails any time of the day.”

Double Dutch tonics are available in-store and can also be purchased through the company’s website for £3 for 8x150ml.
