Starbucks has expanded its craft iced tea portfolio with the introduction of the Teavana Sparkling range in select markets across the US.

The company’s existing products include six sweetened and unsweetened still flavours, which are available across the country.

The new ready-to-drink (RTD) additions will initially be available in grocery stores in the Northeast and Midwest, with plans for national distribution next year.

Available in Blackberry Lime and Unsweetened Peach Nectarine green tea flavours, the new range was introduced to meet consumer demand for sparkling beverages.

Consumers can purchase a bottle of Teavana Sparkling Craft Iced Tea at select grocery retailers in New York, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa and Minnesota for a suggested retail price of $2.39.

Teavana Craft Iced Teas is the result of the partnership between Starbucks and Anheuser-Busch. The two companies have agreed to work together to produce, bottle, distribute and market the iced teas in the US.

As part of the deal, Starbucks agreed to provide its expertise in tea, while Anheuser-Busch led the production, bottling and distribution activities.
