The Litchfield Fund has invested in Torrance, California-based Genius, an organic coconut smoothie brand.

With this investment, The Litchfield Fund has added Genius to its portfolio.

The investment amount has not been disclosed.

The Litchfield Fund chief business officer Tom Malengo said: “Genius & its co-founder Alex Bayer impressed us from day one.

“We quickly fell for this delicious & nutritious coconut smoothie! Digging deeper, we saw that Alex has put together a well operating company with expanding distribution!”

Genius is an organic smoothie blended from both the coconut water and the coconut meat. The smoothie is available in its original flavour as well two new flavours, namely coffee and vanilla protein.
