Pernod Ricard has announced the reorganisation of its US-based senior management, in an effort to expand its market share.

Besides already implementing new methods of engaging with consumers, it is reorganising its marketing structure into a series of new brand units, which will report to senior vice president (SVP) Pierre Berard.

Pernod USA’s wines and champagnes segment senior vice-president (SVP) Jeff Agdern will become SVP for new brand ventures, a unit that will define how future growth brands are built.

“ Winning in the USA is a top priority for Pernod Ricard.”

James Slack, who is currently the vice-president of the marketing division at Pernod Ricard China, will replace Agdern.

SVP for operations Dan Denisoff will quit Pernod USA on 30 June, and Jim Stanski, vice-president of operations for Hiram Walker in Canada, will take additional responsibility of the US unit.

Stanski will continue to report to Patrick O’Driscoll, CEO of Corby, who reports to Paul Duffy, CEO of Pernod Ricard North America.

Absolut Elyx CEO Jonas Tahlin will join the board of Pernod USA executive committee from 1 July. He will continue to retain his current title and responsibilities.

Pernod Ricard chairman and CEO Alexandre Ricard said: "Winning in the USA is a top priority for Pernod Ricard. We must win in this battleground to deliver our group mid-term topline 4 to 5% growth objective."
