Jameson Irish Whiskey, a brand of Pernod RicardUSA, has launched Jameson The Cooper's Croze, a premium whiskey, in the US.

The latest launch is part of The Whiskey Makers Series, a range of three whiskeys.

Curated by Ger Buckley, Jameson The Cooper's Croze carries the varying characteristics imparted by the barrels.

"This is an exciting time for Jameson Irish Whiskey, as we look to celebrate the man behind the barrel, with respect to his dedication and passion shown throughout his unique craft."

Buckley is tasked with selecting, repairing and maintaining the Midleton Distillery's diverse barrels.

Jameson Irish Whiskey head cooper Buckley said: "I've created Jameson The Cooper's Croze to show the versatility and profound influence barrels have on distinct whiskey flavours.

"Barrel making transcends generations, as I've used the same methods and tools passed down from my grandfather, that's the beauty of the craft."

Making use of American oak, seasoned bourbon and Iberian sherry barrels, Jameson The Cooper's Croze illustrates oak's influence on a whiskey's character.

This non-chill filtered whiskey carries the charred virgin oak character with vanilla sweetness from the seasoned bourbon barrels with fruit flavours and a balance of floral and spice notes.

Pernod RicardUSA’s Jameson Irish Whiskey vice president Sona Bajaria said: "Jameson The Cooper's Croze embodies our unwavering dedication to upholding the craft and heritage passed down from generation to generation at the Midleton Distillery.

"This is an exciting time for Jameson Irish Whiskey, as we look to celebrate the man behind the barrel, with respect to his dedication and passion shown throughout his unique craft."

Jameson The Cooper's Croze will be available at retail outlets at a suggested retail price of $69.99.
