Müller Milk & Ingredients (MMI) CEO Patrick Müller has announced his decision to step from his present role, appointing Jon Jenkins as his successor.

Previously, Jenkins led ABF’s food business Allied Milling and Baking, as well as its branded tea business called Twinings.

Müller was associated with the company for two years, playing a pivotal role in the transformation of the business.

Müller explains that Jenkins will work closely with the team at MMI, incorporating sustainable cost structures to continue the turnaround momentum of the company.

Over the next two months, Müller will work with his successor for a smooth transition and also ensure that MMI continues progressing towards a sustainable future.

Müller said: “A huge amount of work and very tough decisions have and continue to be required. We are making very good progress and we now see a clear path towards a profitable and sustainable future.

“I have been deeply impressed and inspired by the relentless effort that our MMI and Müller colleagues have put into this turnaround and I am grateful to have worked with such a dedicated and talented team.

“I would also like to thank farmers and customers for their support and their contribution during my time as CEO. Britain’s love of fresh milk is very much alive and well and I believe that it can be secured for future generations if all three parts of the supply chain work together.”

Following transaction completion, Müller will continue to lead Müller’s home delivery business Milk & More as CEO and also become its co-owner.
