Lonsdale Capital Partners has completed an acquisition of a majority stake in Simmons Bars, an operator of pubs and bars based in the UK.

On completion of the acquisition, founder of Revolution bar chain Roy Ellis will be chairman of the new entity, while Lonsdale’s David Gasparro and James Knott will join Simmons Bars’ board of directors.

OakNorth Bank will offer debt financing for the transaction.

RSM Tenon Corporate Finance, CMS Cameron McKenna, Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group (JLT) and Clearwater International are the financial advisors, while Pragma Consulting is the legal advisor to Simmons Bars for the transaction.

Carlsberg Breweries has completed the acquisition of a remaining 49% stake in Olympic Brewery.

Olympic Brewery is based in Greece and has a network of around 90,000 points-of-sale and 2,000 partners and suppliers.

The transaction enables Carlsberg Breweries to fortify its presence in Southern Europe.

SodaStream International has acquired OPM France for a consideration of €17.5m ($21.4m).

SodaStream intends to become the exclusive distributor for OPM in France.

Based in Israel,  SodaStream is a maker and supplier of Sparkling Water Makers, which allows customers to convert tap water into sparkling water and flavoured sparkling water.

The products of SodaStream are available at more than 80,000 retailers across 45 countries.
