Green Flash Brewing Company has partnered with Jameson Irish Whiskey to create India pale ale (IPA) Celtic Sun.

The beverage was crafted to complement Jameson’s Caskmates IPA edition.

Green Flash Brewmaster Erik Jensen said: “Innovation at Green Flash continues to be the cornerstone of our connection with consumers.

“Consumers today enjoy a wide variety of beverage choices, even in a single setting. Our new beer was brewed to offer a unique drinking ritual with whiskey that we’re referring to as the ‘Perfect Irish Complement’.

“We’re encouraging everyone to alternate sips of Celtic Sun IPA with Caskmates® IPA whiskey to taste how these products truly complement one another.”

Created by the Green Flash brewing team, Celtic Sun IPA offers floral citrus scents and green apple light citrus tastes.

The packaging features similar design elements to the Caskmates IPA label alongside a new Green Flash illustrative design.

Celtic Sun IPA can be purchased at limited retailers from 1 July through August 31. It will be available in a six-pack of 12oz bottles.

Headquartered in San Diego, California, Green Flash is an independently owned and operated craft brewery founded in 2002. It produces and sells the Green Flash and Alpine portfolio of beers, which are distributed throughout California and certain Southwestern US markets.

Last June, Green Flash Brewing appointed Michael Taylor as its new CEO. Taylor noted that he will be focusing on strengthening the Green Flash and Alpine brands, as well as managing long-term strategic growth.
