Diageo’s Tennessee whiskey brand George Dickel has released the latest Bottled in Bond category with an 11-year-old whiskey expression.

The expression from George Dickel is said to offer a new balanced whisky from Fall 2008.

Cascade Hollow Distilling general manager and distiller Nicole Austin said: “Bottled in Bond whiskies have always been one of my favourite categories because you know exactly what you’re getting when you pick up a bottle.

“Our team continues to make great whiskey that’s reflective of the values we feel are most important, and I’m proud to share this year’s vintage of George Dickel Bottled in Bond with everyone.

“Like last year’s release, this bottling is a bold, complex spirit that shares the classic nutty, fruity and waxy characteristics that are expected from mature George Dickel whiskies.”

With 50% alcohol by volume, the latest George Dickel expression offers notes of pecan, maple syrup and dried apple.

Containing a mash bill of 84% corn, 8% rye and 8% malted barley, the latest release is chill charcoal mellowed just as the rest of the George Dickel Tennessee whisky portfolio.

From this month, the new expression has been rolled out across select markets in the US and can be purchased at retail outlets or can be ordered directly to their homes for a suggested retail price (SP) of $39.99.

Last May, George Dickel unveiled its limited-release, a 13-year-old Bottled in Bond Tennessee Whisky in the US.

The beverage contains 50% alcohol-by-volume (ABV) and offered a spicy flavour featuring honey and tropical fruit.
