US-based Geloso Beverage Group has expanded its hard coffee product range with the launch of Mad Bean Coffee.

With 4.5% alcohol by volume (ABV), the iced coffee is made with 100% Arabica gourmet beans, offering a rich but subtle silky flavour.

Mad Beans Coffee comes in mocha and vanilla flavours. The beverage is available in four-pack 12 oz and 24 oz cans.

The launch of the beverage is part of the company’s plan to offer its customers a twist on traditional Irish coffee.

Geloso Beverage Group MD Mary Chapman said: “Mad Bean is the perfect drink for any occasion, whether it’s a pre-game, a tailgate, a brunch, anything.

“The convenience of hard coffee in many situations is what makes Mad Bean extremely appealing to our consumers.”

Geloso Beverage Group US operations VP Paul Rene said: “Geloso Beverage Group prides itself on being an innovator in the flavoured malt beverage category.

“We believe this could be the next big category that is going to change the shelves at retail.”

The beverage will be available from October.

Launched in 2002, the company is based in Rochester, New York and sells and distributes Clubtails – Cocktail in a Can and Johny Bootlegger, as well as Lolita and Pepito.

The beverages are available in c-stores, as well as grocery and liquor stores across the US.

The parent company of Geloso Beverage Group is Omni Brokerage Group, the first wine producer in Quebec.
