BeatBox Beverages has expanded its Party Punch range with the addition of a ready-to-drink (RTD) watermelon-flavoured beverage.

Called Fresh Watermelon, the new drink will join BeatBox’s existing line-up, which includes Pink Lemonade and Blue Razzberry.

BeatBox claims that its Fresh Watermelon variant is gluten-free and contains 130 calories and 8g of sugar per 5.6oz serving.

J&L Ventures’ division Beverage South has been distributing BeatBox’s beverages for more than a year.

Beverage South sales and marketing senior vice-president Ross Smith said: “It looks like BeatBox is about to do it again in the high-growth RTD segment. Like everyone, we are always after newly minted LDA consumers, and the Party Punch has been a great way to reach them.”

Fresh Watermelon is available in a case of 12 re-sealable, 500ml single-serve Tetra Paks for a suggested retail price (SRP) of $3.99.

With 11.1% alcohol-by-volume (ABV), the new Fresh Watermelon drink will be initially available in select states, including Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina and Texas.

BeatBox Beverages president Mark King anticipates the product to be released this month. The company’s products are currently are available at retailers across the country.
