Beam Suntory-owned Basil Hayden’s is partnering with Beehive Cheese to launch a special-edition bourbon-infused cheese, Pour Me A Slice.

Produced for the holiday season, the special edition Pour Me A Slice features a semi-firm, Jersey cow’s milk cheese infused with Basil Hayden’s Bourbon, offering a sweet taste with a hint of spice.

Established in 2005, Beehive Cheese is a creamery based out of Utah, which infuses their traditional cheese with ingredients such as bourbon, coffee and tea.

Beam Suntory Whiskey Marketing vice-president Rob Mason said: “We’re thrilled to collaborate with Beehive Cheese to create a special addition to their line-up of expertly crafted cheeses.

“Basil Hayden’s has always valued creating expressions that are best enjoyed with friends and family, so we think ‘Pour Me A Slice’ is a perfect pairing when sharing our bourbon with friends and family.”

With 40% alcohol by volume (abv), Basil Hayden’s Bourbon Whiskey is said to offer the cheese one-of-a-kind of flavour that pairs nicely with Basil Hayden’s neat, on the rocks or in a cocktail.

Beehive Cheese co-founder Pat Ford said: “Our goal is to craft cheeses that bring people together through their elevated, artisanal flavour.

“We’re excited to partner with Basil Hayden’s because the trademark spice of this bourbon adds a unique flavour to the cheese that makes it perfect for a gathering or gifting.”

Basil Hayden’s x Beehive Cheese Pour Me A Slice can be purchased online at a suggested retail price (SRP) of $5.49 per four-ounce pre-packed wedge.

Going further, the company intends to distribute the product across select retailers across the US market.
