Aiya America, the US arm of major matcha green tea producer Aiya, has expanded its Matcha To Go line with the addition of a new matcha product, dubbed Sweetened Matcha To Go.

The new product is claimed to be a sweet, delicate blend of Aiya’s culinary grade matcha and pure cane sugar.

Each Sweetened Matcha To Go box consists of eight stick packets that can be made into café inspired Matcha latte. The drink can be prepared by mixing Sweetened Matcha To Go stick with eight ounces of a dairy or non-dairy hot or cold milk.

Aiya America president Fumi Sugita said: “Our goal was to create a consumer-friendly product that would be a healthy, convenient alternative to today’s sugary beverages.

“By providing tasty healthy treats in the market, we aim to reinforce Aiya’s mission of sharing the overall goodness and versatility of Matcha.”

The new product is currently available at select locations of Publix, H-E-B, and New Seasons Market, in addition to Whole Foods Markets in Northern California, Southern Pacific, and Midwestern regions.

Aiya America retail sales manager Nathan Effron said: “We have received great feedback on Sweetened Matcha To Go and our entire line of Aiya Matcha products.

“The growth we have experienced as a brand over the past few years is consistent with the increased interest in Matcha worldwide, and we plan to launch in additional stores nationwide in the near future.”

Aiya’s Matcha To Go line features travel-friendly Matcha stick packets. Matcha To Go, the unsweetened version, is said to bring together the brand’s ceremonial grade matcha and Non-GMO soluble fiber.

Both products are said to be Non-GMO Project Verified and gluten free.
