The Whisky Corporation (TWC) has introduced ten sets of the Glenfarclas Pagoda Reserve series in Singapore.

The Pagoda series was launched by Glenfarclas distillery director George Grant.

Bottled in hand-blown Glencairn crystal decanters with a pagoda-shaped stopper in shades of brass, silver and gold, the series consists of 43-year-old, 48-year-old and 59-year-old expressions.

"We have seen a huge amount of interest in rare and fine whiskies within Asia."

TWC chief operating officer Ben Morley said: "All of the magnums and a total of 90 Trilogies were secured by collectors and those in the know some time ago.

“We have seen a huge amount of interest in rare and fine whiskies within Asia through our offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai and our most recent expansion in Singapore.

“As such, we’re concentrating on strategic growth in these key markets where savvy investors are looking to diversify their investment portfolios, and catering to connoisseurs looking for exceptional and limited edition whiskies to add to their collections.”

TWC intends to also launch Glenfarclas Pagoda Ruby Reserve in Singapore in addition to China and Hong Kong markets.

Aged for 62 years, Ruby Reserve includes a limited edition of 180 700ml bottles and 62 magnums of Silver as well as the collector’s edition Gold with 50 700ml bottles and 50 magnums.

Morley added: “The whisky investment landscape is incredibly buoyant and those who have bought the most exclusive whiskies have yielded exceptional returns in recent years.

“By working with key distilleries such as Glenfarclas to offer limited edition and exclusive collections including the Pagoda series, we provide our clients with access to some of the most sought after and finest collectable whiskies available globally,” he said.

Morley also noted that aged labelled single malts’ limited production is of interest for whisky collectors across Asia.
