Beverages seller, producer, and distributor Swire Coca-Cola USA has completed an acquisition of the Coca-Cola Production Center in Denver, Colorado.

Announced in September this year, the transaction is said to be part of The Coca-Cola Company’s refranchising process.

Following the acquisition, Swire started operation at the facility. It has enabled the company to further expand its footprint in the US.

Swire Coca-Cola CEO Jack Pelo said: “It has been our experience that our business model operates most efficiently and provides the best customer service when we own both manufacturing and distribution operations for the Coca-Cola brands.”

“With operational presence in 13 states, the company now operates six production facilities.”

“Swire Coca-Cola’s amazing growth (we have quadrupled in size in just over three years) is exciting and bodes well for our continued success.”

With operational presence in 13 states, the company now operates six production facilities.

This latest deal follows acquisitions of Coca-Cola’s distribution franchises for Denver and the Front Range in May 2014, as well as new distribution centres in the Stapleton, Pueblo, and Johnstown areas.

The Denver production centre is expected to start manufacturing a projected 20 million cases of beverages per annum.

Swire Coca-Cola USA operates under the beverages division of UK-based conglomerate Swire Pacific.
