US-based coffee company Starbucks is launching Tata Group’s single-origin coffee in the US, and Himalayan packaged mineral water in Singapore.

With this move, Starbucks has expanded its partnership with Tata beyond India.

The coffee chain also plans to launch specialty tea brand Teavana in the Indian market by the end of this year, reported the Economic Times, citing a source.

"Together we form a very powerful partnership."

Starbucks Coffee China and Asia Pacific group president John Culver was quoted by the Economic Times as saying: "The vision and partnership signed five years ago was not just for the business and joint venture in India.

"As two global iconic company with strong capabilities around the world, it’s about how we could continue to look at ways to partner together beyond India.

"Both can leverage expertise around sourcing, blending and bringing coffee and tea products outside India. Together we form a very powerful partnership."

Starbucks Reserve Tata Nullore Estates will be the first coffee brand from the Asian country to be introduced in Seattle this year.

Vistara, which is a joint venture of Tata Sons with Singapore Airlines, will serve Starbucks coffee on flights.

Tata Starbucks opened its first Indian store in 2012. Currently, it has 84 stores across the country.
