Starbucks has introduced a new lineup of cold coffee and espresso products in its US and Canadian outlets.

Last year, the coffee company launched cold brew in all its company-owned stores in the US.

Starbucks chairman and CEO Howard Schultz said: "For over 40 years we have perfected the craft of roasting and brewing the finest hot coffee and while we have always offered our customers new options in cold coffee, nothing will compare to the pace of flavour, craft and brewing innovation we will see in the next few years.

"The opportunity to create an entirely new cold coffee experience is limitless."

"The opportunity to create an entirely new cold coffee experience is limitless and our customers are already telling us that they want to meet us on this journey as cold coffee is now becoming a go-to drink."

The new addition being served in its outlets include Cold Brew, Cold Brew with Vanilla Sweet Cream, Nitro Cold Brew, Starbucks Doubleshot on Ice, Caramel Iced Macchiato and Traditional Iced Coffee.

Cold Brew is handcrafted to be cold from beans and slow steeped for 20 hours to create a balanced and smooth coffee with hints of citrus and chocolate.

Cold Brew with Vanilla Sweet Cream is a cold brew topped with house-made vanilla sweet cream.

Nitro Cold Brew contains the chain’s existing Cold Brew recipe with nitrogen to deliver a smooth and creamy sweetness. This drink will be available in major cities across the US later this year, beginning with Seattle, Portland, New York, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

Starbucks Doubleshot on Ice is made with full-bodied espresso that is first chilled and then mellowed with a bit of milk and then lightly sweetened.

Caramel Iced Macchiato combines full-bodied espresso with vanilla-flavoured syrup, milk and ice, and then topped with caramel drizzle.

Traditional Iced Coffee is freshly brewed Starbucks Iced Coffee Blend that is served chilled and lightly sweetened over ice.
