Tarquin’s, a Cornish gin brand, has partnered with Sharp Brewery, a craft beer unit of Molson Coors, to produce a gin called The Hopster that contains three types of hops.

The limited edition gin has been made using hops, namely Crystal, Cascade and Pilot varieties.

"It is the first collaboration of its kind for both Sharp’s and Tarquin’s."

Fewer than 300 bottles have been produced. The bottles come in the Sharp’s Brewery dark blue branding.

Hopster has an alcohol by volume of 42%, reported just-drinks.com.

Sharp’s Brewery beer sommelier Ed Hughes was quoted by thedrinksbusiness.com as saying: "The infusion of hops and gin is a unique combination, and it is the first collaboration of its kind for both Sharp’s and Tarquin’s.

"With Tarquin’s Gin, we’ve created an exquisite gin that pays homage to beer drinkers and is incredibly smooth and aromatic. The exceptional blend of traditional dry gin complements the distinctive hoppy notes that you would normally expect from an ale."

Tarquin’s head distiller and founder Tarquin Leadbetter added that the limited edition drink is "intense, aromatic and beautifully complex".
