US-based spirits company Beam Suntory has launched two new global travel-retail exclusive scotch under The Ardmore Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky portfolio.

The Ardmore Tradition and The Ardmore Triple Wood have been created by the company to present travelers with a scotch that is a little different from the everyday spirits.

The packaging design of the bottles of both the varieties sets them apart from all available peated malts on the shelf.

Based on a contemporary design, the bottles sport metallic inks, embossing and detailed graphics like a contour map of Kennethmont.

Beam Suntory global travel retail marketing director, Michael Cockram said: "Peated malts continue to demonstrate strong growth in global travel retail.

"The introduction of these expressions, each inspired by the spirit of The Ardmore, builds on this growth by appealing to a wider audience and offering new and existing Ardmore consumers something outside of the everyday malt."

The Ardmore Tradition is a modification of the existing Traditional Cask that has to be matured in American oak barrels and then in 19th Century-style quarter casks.

The malt has a burnished gold colour and is rich in flavor. It has an ABV of 46% and is available in 1-litre bottles retailing at €40.

With a price tag of €62, the Ardmore Triple Wood undergoes triple maturation in American oak barrels, quarter casks and puncheons (500-litre casks).
