US-based craft spirits producer Eastside Distilling has expanded its ready-to-drink (RTD) range with Marionberry Mule RTD Cocktail variant.

With 10.5% alcohol by volume (ABV), Marionberry Mule features a combination of Oregon’s original potato vodka and fresh Willamette Valley Marionberries, containing a hint of lime, as well as natural cane sugar.

Eastside Distilling president Robert Manfredonia said: “As RTDs have evolved by embracing the craft movement, there is a strong demand in the premium space for high-quality offering like the Marionberry Mule.

“It is a flavourful and refreshing low-alcohol beverage that will satisfy all, from those at the beach, backyard barbecues or a light cocktail after a long workday. Marionberry Mule is a great addition to our RTD product line and we look forward to adding creative new flavour profiles in the coming years.”

The company noted that its new Marionberry Mule is produced on Eastside’s canning line, which is claimed to be the only in-house producer of 250ml slimline cans in Portland.

Available in a 250ml, or 8.4oz can, which has been designed by a team at Sandstrom Partners, the new variant will be joining Portland Mule in the RTD cocktail segment.

In January, Eastside Distilling entered the ready-to-drink (RTD) segment with the introduction of the Portland Mule RTD Cocktail.

Produced on Eastside’s canning line, the new cocktail features ingredients from craft proprietors in Oregon.

Portland Mule offers a blend of sweet and spicy Portland Soda with four-times-distilled Portland Potato Vodka, lime juice and natural cane sugar.
