Besunyen Holdings intends to raise HK$146.52m ($18.66m) from Aurum Credo Limited through the issue of more than 293 million shares in a private placement.

The transaction represents a 17.98% stake of the issued share capital of Besunyen Holdings.

Besunyen Holdings is a producer and seller of therapeutic tea products, which are sold in more than 100,000 pharmacy stores, supermarkets and tea houses across the country.

Both the companies involved in the transaction are based in China.

The proceeds from the placement are to be used by the company for finance working capital requirements, acquisitions and potential investments.

B9 Beverages (Bira 91) has secured Rs.3.35bn ($49.84m) through a funding round led by Sofina.

The round also included the participation of US-based venture capital firm Sequoia Capital.

“Starbucks will be responsible for global brand management, as well as sourcing and roasting of coffee, under the collaboration.”

B9 Beverages is an Indian manufacturer of craft beers, while Sofina is a Belgium-based investment firm.

The company intends to use the funds to increase distribution, improve production and expand its operations to the US, Thailand, Hong Kong and Singapore markets.

Nestlé has entered a $7.15bn deal with Starbucks to market, sell and distribute Starbucks, Seattle’s Best Coffee, Starbucks Reserve, Teavana, Starbucks VIA and Torrefazione Italia packaged coffee and tea.

Starbucks will be responsible for global brand management, as well as sourcing and roasting of coffee, under the collaboration.

The deal will exclude Starbucks ready-to-drink coffee, tea and juice products.

The transaction will enable Starbucks to extend its brands in the global consumer-packaged goods and foodservice segments.

Kona Gold Solutions has signed two distribution agreements in Bermuda and New York.

Based in the US, Kona Gold is a hemp lifestyle brand involved in the development of functional beverages.

The distribution agreement in Bermuda marks the firm’s first deal outside the US and allows an unnamed distribution company to distribute Kona Gold Hemp Energy Drinks on the island of Bermuda.

The firm’s new distribution partner will distribute its Hemp Energy Drinks and HighDrate Cannabidiol (CDB) Energy Waters in Upstate New York, under the second distribution agreement.
