Web-based wholesale alcohol distributor LibDib has secured a licence to operate in the US state of Illinois.

This marks the sixth market for the company’s alcohol distribution model, which currently operates in four of the five top states in the country in terms of alcohol consumption.

Licenced wine or spirits producers can now distribute their products into Illinois through LibDib.

LibDib founder and CEO Cheryl Durzy said: “One of the nation’s top-tier markets is now available to all wine and spirits Makers. If you’re looking to expand distribution, introduce new brands, or sell small-batch products in Illinois, LibDib can help.

“Especially in today’s market, B2B sales can be challenging and time-consuming. LibDib gives Makers an opportunity to get to market, no matter what the production size.”

The company currently operates as a licensed wholesaler in California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, New York, and Wisconsin. Its web platform launches product to market using the three-tier system.

Furthermore, LibDib offers quick compliant distribution for any brand, averaging less than one month from sign-up to selling. It involves creating a free account on the platform, as well as choosing markets along with product information and price details.

As well as delivering products compliantly, the company also handles invoicing, payment processing, collections, state reporting, and compliance.

In addition, the platform provides buyers with access to hard to find brands.

LibDib is a partner of US wine and spirits wholesaler RNDC. The partnership enables both companies to quickly expand web-based three-tier distribution to a wide range of states.

Last month in Illinois, Beam Suntory donated hand sanitiser across the state to support in the fight against Covid-19.
