Argo Tea introduces cold brew bottled teas in US
Argo Tea has launched ready-to-drink (RTD), cold brew, single estate bottled teas in the US market.
The company will launch the new line-up across all American supermarket chain Whole Foods Market stores.
Argo Tea founder and CEO Arsen Avakian said: “We’re passionate about creating new ways for people to experience tea. With our new Cold Brew teas, we are bringing consumers unprecedented access to super premium teas from around the world.
“We are uniquely positioned to do this because of our long-term relationships with growers, giving us access to one-of-a-kind micro lots and ensuring the highest quality teas with low microbial levels.”
The new lineup includes First Flush Darjeeling and an organic and biodynamic Darjeeling black tea sourced from the Ambootia Tea Garden in India.
First Flush Gyokuro is the second flavour in the RTD lineup which includes organic Gyokuro green tea from the Yamaguchi Tea Estate in Japan.
Armenian Mint is the third flavour in the new series that features organic peppermint tea harvested from Central Europe and the Mediterranean Basin.
The company claims that all its tea products are the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) certified organic, Non-genetically modified organism (GMO) Project Verified, all-natural, gluten-free, vegan, and kosher.
The new line complements Argo’s existing premium RTD business.
Currently, Argo Tea offers three unsweetened RTDs and three teappuccino RTDs, which are available at more than 50,000 retail outlets in the US.
The new drinks products will be added to the existing beverage lineup.
All three flavours will be available in a 13.5oz glass bottle and will have a suggested retail price of $2.49.
