Women of the Vine, a New York-based fourth generation family grape growers and wine producers, has selected Wine Country Stores of New Jersey to sell its wines.

The stores have been stocking the wine for months, but have recently got the permission to sell the wines.

Founded by Women of the vine book author Deborah Brenner in 2007, Women of the Vine produces wines such as 2009 Central Coast Chardonnay, 2009 California Sauvignon Blanc, 2008 Central Coast Pinot Noir, 2008 Central Coast Merlot, 2009 Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon and others.

Under the new deal, all the branches of Wine Country Stores in New Jersey will sell these wines.

Wine Country Stores management president Scott Maybaum said the company is happy to be the only liquor store in New Jersey to sell Women of the Vine wines.

"We think this company makes tremendous wine, and we’re happy to offer them to our customers," Maybaum added.

"Not only does the company [Women of the Vines] care about creating great wines, they are trying to change the wine industry by moving away from a male-centered operation by having their wines made by women."

The Sauvignon Blanc will be available for $12.99, while the Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay will be available under a price tag of $15.99.
