V2 Wine Group has signed a sales and marketing agreement with West Coast Wine Partners (WCWP) to distribute its Valley of the Moon Winery and Lake Sonoma Winery brands in the US.

Effective immediately, California-based V2 Wine Group will represent Valley of the Moon Winery’s brands such as 2010 Sonoma County Pinot Blanc, 2011 Unoaked Chardonnay, 2010 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay, 2011 Roasto Di Sangiovese and others and Lake Sonoma Winery’s brands such as 2010 Dry Creek Sauvignon Blanc, 2010 Russian River Valley Chardonnay, 2009 Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel and others in the US.

The two brands were purchased by WCWP from F Korbel & Bros in August 2012.

V2 Wine Group president Dan Leese said Valley of the Moon and the Lake Sonoma Winery brands are good additions to its diverse portfolio of premium wines and wineries with distinct identities.

"We look forward to making gains in their recognition and distribution," Leese added.

With the addition of two brands, V2 Wine Group now represents over ten wine brands in the North American markets Dry Creek Vineyard, La Follette Wines, Lake Sonoma Winery, Lucinda & Millie Vineyards, Quivira Vineyards, Qupé Cellars, Steelhead Vineyards, Toad Hollow Vineyards, Torbreck Wines and Valley of the Moon.

Wines represented by V2 Wine Group are priced in the range of $13-50 per bottle.

V2 Wine Group general manager Katy Leese said they have worked hard to grow their portfolio and presence in the marketplace quickly and carefully by offering differentiated products and supporting them with distinctive packaging, focused marketing and a strong sales force.
