UK drinks distributor Hallgarten Druitt has selected TVision Technology, a Surrey-based Microsoft Gold ERP partner serving clients throughout the UK, to implement The Wine System at its head office in Luton, UK and at its sister firm Baum in Denver, US.

The Wine System is an enterprise resource planning (ERP) software solution that is designed based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV to meet the requirements of the wine and drinks distribution industry.

Both Hallgarten and Baum are involved in the wholesale distribution of drinks to on- and off-trade markets and their sales process is in conjunction with other TVision Wine System customers such as Enotria and Mentzendorff.

This made Hallgarten Druitt and Baum to select TVision Technology to implement the Microsoft Dynamics at their units.

Hallgarten Druitt information technology head Kevin McKenna said TVision were well proven both for their credentials with other wine distributors and through the work they had already carried out with them.

"Hallgarten Druitt/Baum’s project makes more use of the standard Wine System functionality, giving us a scalable solution with the backing of Microsoft and the functional fit we need," McKenna added.

TVision Technology managing director Richard Thompson said they are pleased to gain Hallgarten Druitt and Baum as TVision clients.

"It confirms the fit of The Wine System, both strategically and in terms of functionality. It also reflects well on our level of Customer Service to be selected for a second project by the same company," Thompson added.

The Wine System will soon go live at the Baum location, followed by Hallgarten in the second quarter of 2013.
